How to arrive to Accademia Gallery

Located in the heart of Florence, the Accademia Gallery is near several of the city's most famous landmarks, including Giotto's Bell Tower and the Florence Duomo. It can be reached via public transport and is a short walk from the historic center of Florence.

The distance from Uffizi Gallery to Accademia Gallery is approximately 2.5 kilometers. To get there, drive along Via dell'Anguillara. Head towards the Florence Cathedral via Via Folco Portinari. After that, proceed to Via de' Pucci and make a right turn onto Via Camillo Cavour. Take another right onto Via degli Alfani, and continue until you arrive at Accademia Gallery.

Walking to the Accademia Gallery

The walk from here up to Accademia Gallery will have taken you through a number of historic sites in Florence. From Uffizi, move in a northerly direction towards Via della Ninna and take your second left onto P.za della Signoria. Go along Via dei Calzaiuoli, turn right at Piazza del Duomo after about 50 meters, then take your second left into Via Ricasoli. Accademia Gallery will be on your right-hand side.

By Public Transport

Located in the center of Florence, the Accademia Gallery is conveniently reachable by bus. It is situated just 1.5 kilometers from the Uffizi Gallery. To get to the gallery from this location, you can take bus numbers 14 or 23. Additionally, bus numbers 6 and 31 will also take you to the Accademia Gallery.

• By train: The closest train station to the Accademia Gallery is Santa Maria Novella, which is located about 15 minutes away by foot. From the station, you can walk or take a taxi to the gallery.
• By bus: Lines D, 6, 11, 13, 14, and 17 all stop close to the museum. The bus stops are located a few minutes walk from the gallery, so it's an easy and convenient option for visitors.
• By taxi: Taxis are readily available in Florence. You can either hail a taxi on the street or book one in advance to pick you up from your hotel or desired location. The cost of a single taxi ride ranges from €6-€8.
