The Halls

Most people who visit the Accademia wish to see Michelangelo's great works, of which David is first on the list.

If you set aside at least 2 hours for your visit, you will find that the other corridors in the Accademia offer much more: some lesser-known works where you can see sculpture by Michelangelo and Mannerist painting, learn about techniques used in making marble sculptures and wooden panels, view antique musical instruments, and admire the style of fourteenth-century Florentine clothing.
