See Michelangelo's famous "David" at the Accademia Gallery, along with other important works such as "I Prigioni" and "San Matteo." Learn about the three years Michelangelo spent sculpting his famous statue of David as a symbol of strength, of courage, and of the liberty of the Florentine Republic. Then start your walking tour in the district of Medici, where you will find landmarks such as their palace and the San Lorenzo Church. Visit the Duomo Complex, pass through medieval streets, and discover the curious Church of Orsanmichele and Straw Market. Explore Piazza Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio. Walk via the Vasari Corridor up to Ponte Vecchio while having a glance at its famous jewelry shops. Take a rest for a Tuscan lunch in the old city (optional). In the afternoon, visit Uffizi Gallery to see masterpieces from Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and many others. Marvel at Botticelli's masterpieces, "Primavera" and "The Birth of Venus." The tour ends on the Uffizi Terrace, from where one can have an exclusive view of city landmarks.
