Full description

A fast-track tour designed specifically for those who want to have a quick touch of the beauty of Florence, visiting with a certified local Guide some selected works of art in two of the most famous museums but skipping the long lines, and for those interested in learning more about the secrets of the Historic City Center, a Unesco World Heritage Site, or sightseeing its hip neighborhoods. Our visit will start right at the entrance of the Uffizi Gallery where your guide will welcome you and take you for a two-hour-long trip through enthusiasm to the great frescoed halls, housing masterpieces of Italian Renaissance art to be precise. Marvel at the masterpieces of Giotto, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio and many others ...After this unforgettable experience, you will stroll into Piazza Signoria where Palazzo Vecchio is located, always the heart of the city's local government and the Medici family's 16th-century residence; Marvel at the sculptures in the Loggia dei Lanzi before moving on to Piazza del Duomo where you will hear the secrets and mysteries of Brunelleschi's Dome; Marvel at the Baptistery with its golden gates (especially Paradise Gate), Giotto's Bell Tower, and the splendid Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with its marvelous polychrome marble façade. On foot, in ten minutes we will reach the Galleria dell'Accademia where, with our skip-the-line entry, you will soon stand before Michelangelo's David — the epitome of male beauty and a symbol of Florence; also, some anecdotes about the world's most famous statue and its history as well as other timeless works from the Renaissance. In the "Tribuna di De Fabris" are five more sculptures by Michelangelo: four Prisoners and San Matteo. Then it passes into another wing of the museum where the Medici collection of musical instruments is to be seen; here you can see the world's most precious Stradivarius, oldest pianoforte plus other unique splendid instruments! At the end of the tour, if you wish, you may remain in the Museum until closing: view the poetic plaster casts by Lorenzo Bartolini in the grand Gipsoteca, the large collection of gold-ground altarpieces on the upper floor of the gallery and other Renaissance paintings from XV-XVI centuries.
